About the hotel

Formerly the Thistle Edgbaston, the renamed Menzies Starthallan is perfectly located with excellent amenities, just a short distance from the city centre.

This is an ideal base from which to discover exciting Birmingham. The Menzies Strathallan also offers easy access to the Midlands via the motorway and rail network. The NEC and Birmingham International Airport are also only 12 miles (18 km) away.

Enjoy a mouth-watering meal in our superb Brasserie restaurant. Have a drink in one of our bars, relax in our spacious lounge and visit Birmingham’s nightlife before retiring to your welcoming and comfortable bedroom.

Hotel Map

By road:
- Take the A38, follow signs for the International Convention Centre (ICC), National Indoor Arena (NIA) and Broad Street.
- On Broad Street, continue for Five Ways Island and take the underpass which leads onto Hagley Road. The hotel is situated 1.5 kilometres on the right.

By rail:
From Birmingham New Street Railway Station: take a taxi to the hotel, which is less than 4 kilometres away.
